The UO team has been pretty quiet since the season ended in April. Most of us are doing OBRA races with other teams, or taking some time off. I’ve been very behind on processing photos from the collegiate season, so I thought it’d be worth sharing some now. These are from April 11th and 12th, at the Central Washington Omnium. With the upcoming 2009 road season approaching and the weather beginning to cooperate, we’re all very excited to get out on our bikes! We ride on Saturday and Sunday at 9am, leaving from Lifecycle Bike Shop. If you’re interested in riding with the team, feel free to join the email list. We send out mid-week ride annoucements as well as generally usefully information about cycling. Instructions for joining the email list can be found on the Contact page, or email Ivar. ( ivong [at] uoregon [dot] edu ).
We’re having our first group ride this Saturday (October 18th) at 10am from Lifecycle Bike Shop (map)! Everyone is welcome to come on this easy, ~2 hour ride. The only required things are a helmet and a bike. Weather-appropriate cycling clothing (check out David’s recommendations) is recommended. Feel free to contact me if you need some.
One more thing: UO Club Sports Liability Forms need to be filled out by all riders. I’ll some at Lifecycle Saturday morning, but you can also drop by the Club Sports office to fill one out today or tomorrow.
