About Us
The University of Oregon Cycling Club is committed to promoting our sport. We encourage participation, teamwork, skill development, and competition.
Any University Student is welcome to join the cycling club and participate in club functions – racing is not required. We strive to promote the cycling lifestyle as an enjoyable and healthy lifelong recreational activity.
Our club is composed of male and female cyclists of all levels of fitness and experience. The club provides an excellent opportunity to improve skills in a low-pressure environment.
Throughout the year we do fund-raising activities such as Mac Court clean-ups and a letter writing campaign to help finance our road trips and keep our dues low.
The cycling club is open to all students interested in riding a bike. We have regular group rides for all skill levels. Club members are not pressured to race, but those members interested in racing will want to focus on training in preparation for the spring racing season. The club aims to teach aspiring racers how to improve bike handling skill and riding strength. The club holds skill development rides, training camps, and time trial practice sessions in order to be prepared for racing season.
